This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to the Tax Strategy Implementation Membership and the Business Owner Strategy Lab (each, a "Membership") purchased through www.themoreaulawfirm.com from The Moreau Law Firm, PLLC (the "Firm," "we," "us," or "our"). It is part of the Membership Terms.
Legal services are not sold through the Website. Attorney-client engagements and professional-service packages (including fixed-fee legal services, implementation packages, entity formations, and tax strategy services) are governed solely by their written engagement agreements, and any unearned fees are refunded as required by the applicable rules of professional conduct.
Summary
Memberships renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from My Subscriptions in your account. Cancellation stops future charges, and your access continues through the end of the period you have paid for. All charges are nonrefundable, with one exception: if your annual Membership renews and you cancel within 14 days after the renewal charge, we refund that renewal charge in full. When your Membership ends, all access ends (including recordings), and recordings are not restored if you rejoin.
1. What You Agree to at Checkout
Checkout identifies the Membership selected, the amount due today, any one-time Strategy Vault Access Fee, the recurring price, and whether renewal occurs monthly or annually. By purchasing and affirmatively accepting the subscription terms, you authorize your payment method to be charged on that schedule until you cancel.
2. Automatic Renewal
Monthly Memberships are charged on the purchase date and on the same day of each following month until canceled.
Annual Memberships are charged on the purchase date and on each anniversary of that date until canceled.
Renewal charges are made to your payment method on file at the price in effect for your plan, subject to Section 11.
3. Strategy Vault Access Fee
Monthly Memberships include a one-time Strategy Vault Access Fee, shown at checkout, which is the enrollment fee for the instructional program. It is not charged on annual Memberships. It is not charged again while your Membership continues without interruption (including when you upgrade, switch between monthly and annual billing, or re-enroll at a changed price through a link the Firm provides). It is charged again if you enroll in a monthly Membership after a prior Membership has ended, unless waived under the Membership Terms. Paying it does not purchase ownership of, or permanent access to, any Membership content.
4. Renewal Reminders
For annual Memberships, we email a reminder at least 30 days before each renewal date, stating the renewal date, the amount, and how to cancel. Monthly Memberships do not receive a separate reminder; your next billing date is always shown on your My Subscriptions page. Please keep your account email address current.
5. How to Cancel
Online, anytime. Log in, open My Subscriptions, select your Membership, click Cancel Subscription, and confirm. You will receive email confirmation.
By email. Send a cancellation request to website@themoreaulawfirm.com from the email address on your account (or include that address in your message). We will confirm within 2 business days. A request we receive before your renewal date is honored even if our confirmation arrives later, and any charge that posts after a timely request will be refunded.
To avoid the next charge, cancel before your renewal date. Cancellation stops future charges and takes effect at the end of your current paid period. It does not reverse charges properly incurred before cancellation.
6. What Happens When Your Membership Ends
Your access continues through the last day of the period you have paid for, unless your Membership is terminated for a violation of the Membership Terms. After that, you lose access to all Membership content and features, including the Strategy Library, Tools & References, live sessions, the recording archive, the member community, and (for Business Owner Strategy Lab members) Business Owner Lab content.
Recording access is not restored if you later rejoin; a new Membership begins a new recording entitlement under the Membership Terms. Worksheets and checklists you downloaded while your Membership was active remain subject to the Personal Use license in the Membership Terms. Your community posts remain visible unless deleted, as described in the Membership Terms.
7. Refunds
ALL MEMBERSHIP CHARGES ARE NONREFUNDABLE EXCEPT AS STATED IN THIS SECTION 7 AND IN SECTIONS 5, 8, AND 13.
Except as provided in the Annual Renewal Refund Window below, the Firm does not provide refunds, prorated refunds, credits, or extensions for monthly charges, the first annual term, the Strategy Vault Access Fee, partial billing periods, or unused time after cancellation, including because a member:

does not log in, use the Membership, or download resources;

misses or does not attend a live session, or does not watch recordings;

determines that a strategy does not apply or does not receive an anticipated tax result;

changes businesses, advisors, or personal circumstances;

fails to cancel before renewal or does not read a renewal reminder; or
-
no longer needs the Membership or otherwise chooses not to use some or all of its benefits.
Annual Renewal Refund Window. If your annual Membership renews automatically and you cancel within 14 days after the renewal charge date, we will refund that renewal charge in full, and your access ends when the refund is issued. This window applies only to automatic annual renewal charges. It does not apply to a first annual purchase, monthly charges, or the Strategy Vault Access Fee. To use it, cancel in My Subscriptions and email website@themoreaulawfirm.com within the 14 days, or email us within the 14 days and we will cancel for you.
Refunds are issued to the original payment method. Your card issuer may take 5 to 10 business days to post a refund.
8. Billing Errors
If you are charged twice, charged an incorrect amount, charged after a timely cancellation, or charged without authorization, contact us within 60 days of the charge and we will correct it. A correction is not an exception to Section 7.
9. Failed Payments
If a recurring payment fails, we will notify you by email and retry your payment method during a 3-day grace period, during which your access continues. Follow the instructions in the failed-payment email to update your payment method. If payment is not collected by the end of the grace period, your Membership is canceled automatically. Any later purchase is a new Membership: the Strategy Vault Access Fee applies to monthly plans, and recording entitlement begins with the month of the new purchase.
10. Plan Changes and Continuity
Upgrades. Upgrades from the Tax Strategy Implementation Membership to the Business Owner Strategy Lab are processed through a private link the Firm provides on request. Monthly upgrades begin on purchase, and the remainder of the current month is not credited. Annual upgrades are charged the prorated difference between the two annual prices for the remaining full months of the current term, after which the Membership renews at the Business Owner Strategy Lab annual price.
Downgrades. A downgrade to the Tax Strategy Implementation Membership takes effect at your next renewal date. Business Owner Lab content and recordings remain available until then.
Switching billing. You may switch from monthly to annual billing at any time; the annual term begins on purchase, and the remainder of the current month is not credited. You may switch from annual to monthly billing at your renewal date through a private link the Firm provides.
Continuity. Upgrading, downgrading, switching billing, and re-enrolling at a changed price through a Firm-provided link are continuations of your current Membership. No new Strategy Vault Access Fee applies, and recording entitlement does not reset. Business Owner Strategy Lab recording entitlement begins with the calendar month an upgrade takes effect.
11. Price Changes
We will email at least 30 days' notice before a price change applies to your Membership. A price change takes effect only at the start of a billing period, never during a period you have already paid for, and you may cancel before it applies. If our billing platform requires a new purchase to implement a changed price, we will send you a re-enrollment link; re-enrolling through that link continues your Membership as described in Section 10. If you do not re-enroll, your Membership ends at the end of your paid period.
12. Content and Recording Changes
A Membership is access to a maintained educational program, not the purchase of a fixed collection of content. The Firm may add, revise, replace, reorganize, or remove resources, and each recording is available for no more than 12 months after its session date. Changes to individual resources, recordings, session topics, or community features do not create a refund right.
13. If the Firm Ends Your Membership
If the Firm suspends or terminates your Membership because of a material violation of the Membership Terms (such as account sharing, unauthorized distribution, intellectual-property misuse, fraud, harassment, illegal conduct, or security abuse), no refund is due.
If the Firm discontinues a Membership program or tier before the end of a prepaid term for reasons unrelated to a member's violation, the Firm will give at least 30 days' email notice and refund the unused portion of the prepaid term, prorated by month.
14. Payment Disputes
Please contact us first; most billing questions are resolved quickly. If you dispute a charge with your card issuer, we may suspend access while the dispute is pending.
15. Mandatory Law Controls
If applicable law provides a cancellation, refund, renewal, or other consumer right that cannot be waived and that conflicts with this Policy, applicable law controls to the extent of the conflict.
